Help
Government solicitation help
Practical guidance for citation-backed government solicitation analysis. Upload a solicitation, try the federal demo, or read the commercial RFP help.
Supported file types and packages
Upload PDF, DOCX, XLSX, CSV, or ZIP packages. Use ZIP for multi-document solicitations — base document, attachments, exhibits, and Q&A files stay mapped by role. Scanned PDFs may need OCR depending on your workspace configuration.
UCF and non-UCF formats
ProposalFirewall detects Uniform Contract Format sections when present and still extracts requirements from non-UCF state, local, and task-order packages. Format detection runs per package, so mixed pipelines work on one account.
How citations work
Every important extracted item keeps a source filename, page or spreadsheet location, and supporting excerpt. Verified items must match source text. Items that cannot be confirmed stay marked Needs review or Unsupported.
Section L → M crosswalk
Instructions from Section L are mapped to Section M evaluation factors so gaps between what you must submit and how you will be scored are visible before drafting. Crosswalk rows keep their source citations.
Clause and risk flags
FAR/DFARS clause references and high-risk terms are flagged with source locations for reviewer judgment. Flags are review prompts, not legal advice or a compliance certification.
Amendments and version history
Upload amendments as new versions of the same opportunity from the overview. Side-by-side diffs summarize changes per version pair with severity levels so the matrix stays current.
SAM.gov alerts
Link an opportunity ID to watch for amendment activity on SAM.gov. Alerts are available on paid plans and keep active federal pursuits connected to their version history.
Government versus commercial mode
Choose Government solicitation, Commercial RFP, or Auto-detect at upload. You can change the opportunity type after analysis. Mode affects terminology and which workspace tabs are emphasized; it does not delete your upload.
Data retention and deletion
Uploaded documents stay private to your organization. You can delete a solicitation and its derived artifacts from the workspace. Documents are not used to train foundation models. ProposalFirewall is built for unclassified solicitation analysis.
What the product does not guarantee
ProposalFirewall does not provide legal advice, guaranteed compliance, or automatic bid decisions. Always review official solicitation documents and amendments before submission.
